Heavy-Duty Structure

Continuous one-piece tube forms the base and sump wall with 4-inch sub base channels.

Sump Construction

ASTM A-569, 12-gauge steel. The sump is eight inches deep and provides a 33% secondary containment that exceeds all federal regulations.

Explosion Relief Vent Panels

Explosion-relief vent panels designed to release at a maximum internal pressure of 20 PSF. Location: rear wall of building. Panel size and vent area are based on 1 sq. ft. of venting per 50 cubic feet of building volume. Each panel is weather-stripped and safely cabled to the rear wall. Explosion-relief panel openings are equipped with security bars and are held in place with FMRC-approved explosion-relief fasteners. This system complies with Factory Mutual requirements for storage of Class IA and dispensing of Class IA and IB liquids. Two panels required for models PK10 and PK16. Three panels required for models PK22 and PK28.

Walls

3-5/8" wide steel studs spaced 12" covered with two layers of 5/8" type exterior gypsum wallboard each side. Skinned with ASTM A591, 18-gauge steel white epoxy coated panels.

Roof/Ceiling

The roof consists of 5/8" plywood covered with one-piece single ply membrane that features a 20-year warranty supported with 18-gauge steel joists that are 7" deep and spaced at 12" on center. Two layers of 5/8" gypsum board is attached and then covered with 18-gauge white epoxy coated steel panels.
