PR-2000 Inverter Spot Welding System

PR-2000 is designed with the latest inverter technology. The weld current is delivered at 2000 Hz., compared to conventional spot welders which use 60 Hz. The advantage is more energy per time which results in more powerful welds and shorter weld time. The high frequency DC weld current works extremely efficiently with galvanized and coated metals used in today's automobiles. The break-down in the metal properties is minimal, preventing the HSS (high strength steel) values from breaking down.

The inverter system is the latest and most advanced technology available for resistance spot welding. This new technology replaces the old type 3 phase DC welders because of its many advantages such as:

More weld power, shorter weld duration.
Less consumption of primary power.
Cleaner weld current, less interruption of electrical system in the shops.
Smoother DC ripple from the high frequency weld current, resulting in better welds.

Inverter technology's small demand on the incoming power is a huge advantage. Weak electrical power sources are common in the U.S., which creates big problems when using 3 phase non-inverter spot welders.

Spot welding of quarter panel using C-Arm (PS-302). PS-52 Wheel House Arm is a must for tight areas with limited space for the electrodes.
For deeper needs use the Pro Spot extension arms. They are self-aligning and quick to install. Wheel House welding with PS-52 Arm makes it possible to weld the most difficult applications.
Consistent weld quality with short weld time thanks to the latest inverter technology In this sheer strength test, the PR-2000 weld holds more than 2200 lb. (1000kg). This test was done on two, 16ga. galvanized steel strips (1.57mm thickness) . Note how the metal tears around the weld nugget. The PR-2000 welds measure up to the factory requirements weld after weld.
